Key Responsibilities:
Support customer rebate and promotional programme calculations, reporting, and reconciliations.
Prepare and refine commercial reports covering sales, profitability, KPIs, and capital expenditure.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and developing comprehensive business cases.
Provide detailed financial analysis and commentary on P&L statements, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
Contribute to monthly management accounts and annual budgeting processes.
Generate insights to support sales growth and strategic initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Either a recent Big4 auditor with experience in financial analysis or with prior experience in a Commercial Analyst role within industry.
Knowledge of retail is advantageous but not mandatory.
CA or CPA qualification, or working towards it, highly desirable.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, confident in presenting findings and managing stakeholder expectations.
Strong analytical ability to interpret and communicate financial insights effectively.
Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI is a plus.
Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Prior experience in retail or a commercial environment is an advantage but not essential.
Other Requirements:
Permanent, full-time employment with a flexible hybrid working model (office based in the Eastern suburbs; Tuesdays and Thursdays in-office).
