Senior Consultant - AI

We’re looking for a Senior AI Consultant to help design and deliver modern AI, analytics and data
solutions for our clients, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Copilot, agent-based solutions and applied GenAI.
This role is suited to someone at a senior consultant level who wants to stay hands-on, lead solution delivery, and work closely with clients to turn AI from experimentation into real, scalable outcomes. While you’ll help mentor others and shape how we deliver AI, this is not a people-manager role — it’s about owning solutions end to end.
As a small data consultancy actively building its AI practice, this role offers significant influence over technical direction, delivery patterns and how AI solutions are taken to market.
What you’ll do
• Lead the design and delivery of AI and GenAI solutions for client engagements, with a focus on Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio agents, automation and applied AI use cases.
• Work directly with client stakeholders to understand business problems, identify high-value AI opportunities, and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Design and build Copilot Studio agents, RAG pipelines, and AI-driven workflows, integrating with enterprise data sources and APIs.
• Architect and oversee AI-enabled data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure data platforms and Power BI semantic models.
• Apply Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Services to real use cases, including prompt design, grounding models in enterprise data, managing cost and latency, and improving output quality.
• Identify, troubleshoot and improve AI outputs, including handling hallucinations, poor responses and performance issues.
• Present AI concepts, architectures and recommendations clearly to both technical teams and senior business stakeholders, including setting realistic expectations around AI capabilities and limitations.
• Provide delivery leadership on engagements, including guiding junior consultants, reviewing work, and contributing to high-quality outcomes.
• Contribute to the development of internal AI delivery patterns, best practices and reusable assets as the AI practice grows.
What you bring
• Strong experience in data engineering, analytics or analytics engineering, with a clear progression into AI and GenAI delivery.
• Hands-on experience building or delivering GenAI solutions, ideally including Copilotstyle or agent-based architectures.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft data platforms (e.g. Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory) and how they support AI use cases.
• Experience working with Azure OpenAI / AI Services, including model grounding, prompt design, and applied AI patterns.
• Experience building or supporting Power BI semantic models and understanding how analytics enables AI consumption (not just reporting).
• Strong consulting skills, including stakeholder management, problem framing, and translating business needs into technical designs.
• A collaborative mindset and interest in mentoring others through delivery, without needing formal line management.
Nice to have
• Direct experience with Copilot Studio, custom copilots or AI agents.
• Experience building RAG pipelines, semantic search, or agent workflows.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with APIs, Power Platform, Power Automate or Logic Apps.
• Previous consulting or professional services experience.
• Microsoft certifications across Data, AI or Azure.
