Finance Business Partner (Temporary) | Melbourne | Mid-July Start
Overview
Use your finance expertise to strengthen community programs and help teams make confident, informed decisions. As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll partner with leaders and operational teams to support sustainable growth through forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and practical financial advice. This temporary role offers the opportunity to structure operational finances, empower teams, and guide strategic decision-making that improves service delivery and outcomes for the communities we support.
You’ll work with a well-established Finance Business Partner team and build trusted relationships across the organisation.
Required Skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting
- CPA/CA qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation, and providing financial advice
- Demonstrated ability to develop close, sustained stakeholder relationships
- Advanced Excel capability
- Confidence navigating financial systems
- Clear, approachable communication style
- Curiosity and resourcefulness, with the ability to adapt as priorities change
- Satisfactory National Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain required checks
Nice to Have Skills
- Prior experience working within the not-for-profit sector
Preferred Education and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting
- CPA/CA qualification
- 5+ years’ relevant experience in finance, business partnering, reporting and analysis
Other Requirements
- Temporary position starting mid-July for 3-4 months
- Based in Melbourne with hybrid working
