Join a prestigious organisation in the Not for Profit sector as a Finance Reporting Analyst. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work supporting research infrastructure initiatives through a hybrid working model, with a contract outlined until January 2027.
In this role, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive financial reporting, in-depth analysis, and strategic insights to drive informed decision-making. Operating within a collaborative team, you will develop and monitor budgets, prepare forecasts, and deliver timely management reports. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with legislative and funding requirements, whilst fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership.
To excel in this position, you should possess:
- Demonstrated experience in developing, monitoring, and analysing complex budgets and forecasts.
- Proficiency in financial reporting tools and software, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Xero.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards and legislation relevant to funding and financial governance.
- Excellent analytical abilities, with a knack for interpreting data, identifying trends, and offering practical solutions.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex financial information for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Additional skills that are advantageous include prior experience with financial systems used in research or similar sectors, as well as familiarity with Australian funding regulations
Candidates should ideally hold a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce, with ongoing professional development towards CPA, CA, or CPA accreditation being highly desirable.
