Overview
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with leadership across the organisation to develop and implement practical, commercially sound people solutions. You will balance strategic influence with hands-on delivery, managing complex people matters while supporting organisational development initiatives. Required Skills
- Proven experience in a business partnering or generalist HR role
- Strong ability to manage complex employee relations cases with confidence
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Analytical mindset with the capacity to interpret data, policies, and legislation effectively
- Sound judgement, resilience, and strong commercial acumen
- Excellent communication and coaching skills to support leadership development
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience working within the not-for-profit sector
- Knowledge of current HR systems and analytics tools
- Project management or change management experience
- Familiarity with Australian employment laws and policies
Preferred Education and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in HR, with exposure to senior stakeholder engagement and complex employee matters
- Prior experience in a not-for-profit or public sector environment is advantageous
Other Requirements
- Ability to commit to a 12-month fixed-term contract
- Willingness to undertake occasional organisational travel if required
- Relevant HR certifications or memberships will be viewed favourably
