A well established data analytics consultancy and Microsoft partner is looking for a Power BI Consultant to join its growing team in either Melbourne or Sydney. This is an early career role, ideal for someone with a couple of years of hands-on Power BI experience who wants to fast track their development in a consulting environment.
About the Opportunity
Our client is a specialist data and analytics consultancy built around the Microsoft stack. They deliver Azure, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric solutions for clients across retail, financial services, manufacturing and more.

What You Will Be Doing
- Designing and building Power BI reports and dashboards that help clients make better decisions
- Developing data models, DAX measures and Power Query transformations
- Working with stakeholders to understand business requirements and turn them into practical reporting solutions
- Connecting to and shaping data from Azure sources including Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric
- Supporting senior consultants on delivery across multiple client engagements
- Helping with report performance tuning, workspace management and deployment
- Contributing to documentation, training and handover so clients can get the most out of their reporting
What You Will Bring
- Around 2 or more years of hands-on Power BI development experience
- Solid understanding of data modelling, DAX and Power Query
- Good SQL skills
- Exposure to the Microsoft Azure data platform, such as Synapse, Data Factory or Fabric
- Strong aptitude and a real willingness to learn, take on feedback and grow
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with business stakeholders
- Consulting or client-facing experience is a bonus but not essential
- Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 or DP-600 are well regarded
