The role is focused on designing and delivering production-ready AI capabilities, (AI agents, RAG pipelines, workflow automations), all built around Shopify as the central eCommerce platform.
It's a hands-on position where you'd be shaping how AI gets operationalised at scale. The environment is Azure-based, with Databricks + Power BI across data, the broader ecosystem includes Shopify, NetSuite, Retail Directions, Infor. There will be a lot of focus on integration simplification and cleaning up legacy solutions. There's strong investment in agent-led delivery and rapid idea-to-production practices.
They're particularly keen to speak with engineers who:
• Have built AI-enabled workflows, assistants or agents beyond POC stage
• Are familiar with RAG patterns and API-based enterprise integrations
• Can translate business problems into measurable AI outcomes
• Have worked within governance and architecture frameworks
• Are comfortable partnering closely with both technical and business stakeholders
The role is based 4 days a week in the office in Melbourne, with a salary of $160,000+ super.
