We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and support scalable enterprise data and analytics solutions across Azure Databricks. This hands on role combines project delivery and BAU support, working closely with business and technology teams to deliver reliable, high quality data solutions that support smarter decision making.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop and support enterprise data, BI and analytics solutions using Azure technologies
• Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations and analytical data models
• Develop and optimise Power BI datasets, semantic models and reporting solutions
• Monitor and improve platform performance, reliability and data quality
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps
• Apply data governance, security and access control best practices
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, BI, data science and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions
Skills & Experience
Essential
• Strong experience delivering data solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Hands on experience with SQL, Python, PySpark and Databricks SQL
• Experience designing data warehouses and analytical data models
• Strong Power BI development skills including DAX
• Experience working in DevOps environments and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to support both project delivery and BAU operations
• Strong understanding of data integration and analytics platforms
Desirable
• Experience with AI enabled analytics or advanced BI solutions
• Exposure to Azure AI or Machine Learning services
• End to end delivery experience across BI or analytics projects
• Experience within retail, supply chain, logistics or banking environments
