  • Advise on key income tax matters including CGT rollovers, tax consolidation, tax loss utilisation and Division 7A.

  • Support ATO reviews, audits, objections, early engagements and private ruling applications, including preparing technical responses and supporting documentation.

  • Undertake detailed tax research to support client positions and commercial decision-making.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of tax risk management and governance frameworks.

  • Undertake tax due diligence as part of broader corporate finance and transaction engagements.

  • Ensure all client work is delivered accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines.

  • Work collaboratively with Managers and senior leaders to deliver integrated client outcomes.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and act as a trusted tax advisor.

About You

You’ll be an experienced tax professional with strong technical knowledge and a proactive, solutions-focused approach. You’ll enjoy working across a variety of tax matters and be comfortable balancing independent work with collaboration across a broader advisory team.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years' experience in tax, ideally within professional services, accounting or advisory.

  • A strong background in private and/or corporate taxation.

  • Experience across areas such as CGT restructuring, corporate and/or trust taxation and Division 7A.

  • Experience delivering tax advisory engagements across a diverse client base.

  • Strong technical research skills and experience using tax research platforms and ATO resources.

  • The ability to stay up to date with changes to tax legislation, ATO guidance and relevant case law.

  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and a client-focused approach.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Law or a related discipline.

  • CA/CPA, CTA, Masters of Tax or similar postgraduate qualifications would be advantageous.
