As we recently welcomed Andy Langridge to the Method Group as our new Head of Consulting, we're also excited to announce the next evolution of our consulting offering.

Method Advisory & Method Services is becoming MethodWerx.

More than a new name, MethodWerx represents an important step forward for the business, bringing together strategic thinking, practical delivery and specialist capability to help organisations move from ambition to action.

The evolution comes at a time when organisations are navigating increasingly complex challenges. AI, technology modernisation, workforce change and ongoing transformation are reshaping the way businesses operate, and the need for partners who can do more than simply advise has never been greater.

For Andy, who joins Method with extensive experience helping organisations navigate transformation and deliver meaningful change, the timing couldn't be better.

“I wasn't looking to simply step into an existing role,” Andy says.

“At this stage in my career, I wanted the opportunity to help shape and grow a consulting business, build capability, develop people and strengthen client relationships.”

That opportunity, combined with the people, culture and ambition of the broader Method Group, made this the right next step.

As Andy takes the lead on the next phase of our consulting business, MethodWerx will build on the trusted relationships and foundations already established through Method Advisory & Services, with an even clearer focus on helping clients bridge the gap between strategy and execution.

Lessons learned far from the boardroom

Some of Andy’s most influential leadership lessons were learned in a very different environment. While at university, he spent seven months working as a roustabout on North Sea oil rigs. It was a demanding environment, with challenging conditions and, as Andy puts it, some “strong and colourful” characters.

The experience taught him two lessons that have stayed with him throughout his career.

The first was to listen more than he speaks and think before offering an opinion. The second was to respect every individual, regardless of their role or seniority.

“Success is always a team effort, and everyone has something valuable to contribute,” he says.

Those lessons continue to influence the way Andy leads today - with a strong focus on collaboration, trust and creating environments where people can contribute their best work.

“I’d hope people would describe my leadership style as collaborative, authentic and outcome-focused,” he says.

“I work hard to build trust, create clarity and empower people to do their best work. While I’m focused on delivering results, I firmly believe the best outcomes come from bringing people together, listening to different perspectives and creating an environment where teams can succeed.”

A career built around meaningful change

What has kept Andy passionate about consulting throughout his career is the opportunity to solve meaningful problems and create lasting change. Whether it’s a struggling project, an inefficient process or a large-scale transformation, he’s motivated by helping organisations find a practical way forward.

“No two organisations are the same, so there is a continual opportunity to learn, adapt and bring together different experiences to help clients achieve their goals,” he says.

Over time, however, one aspect of transformation has become increasingly important to him: the people.

Technology, processes and frameworks all play an important role, but sustainable change depends on whether people understand the purpose of that change and feel part of the journey.

“The technology can be right. The strategy can be right. But transformation ultimately succeeds or fails based on people,” Andy says.

“I enjoy building trusted relationships, bringing stakeholders together around a common objective and helping teams navigate uncertainty to achieve outcomes they may not have thought possible.”

It’s a perspective that sits at the heart of MethodWerx.

Introducing MethodWerx

The evolution from Method Advisory and Method Services to MethodWerx is more than a change of name. It represents a clearer expression of what the business does and where it’s heading.

At its core, Method represents the structured, outcome-focused thinking that helps organisations define strategy, solve complex problems and create practical plans for change.

Werx reflects the other side of the equation: turning those ideas into outcomes.

“We believe successful transformation is about more than strategy and advice,” Andy says.

“It’s about turning ideas into outcomes.”

That means working alongside clients to design solutions, build capability, deliver change and create lasting value.

“We’re not just advisors,” Andy explains. “We’re partners in execution.”

As organisations navigate AI, technology modernisation, workforce change and increasingly complex transformation agendas, that distinction has never been more important.

Bridging the gap between thinking and doing

According to Andy, most organisations aren’t struggling to identify what needs to change. Leaders already understand that AI is reshaping industries. Technology platforms need modernising. Workforce expectations are evolving. Transformation is no longer a one-off initiative, it has become a constant.

The challenge is turning ambition into execution.

“What clients are really looking for are partners who can help them navigate uncertainty, make practical decisions and deliver measurable outcomes,” Andy says.

“They want advisors who can cut through complexity and provide clear, pragmatic guidance, but they also want partners who can roll up their sleeves and help implement change.”

It’s why Andy believes the traditional model of delivering a strategy document and walking away is becoming less relevant.

Today, clients are looking for consulting partners who understand their business, challenge assumptions when necessary and are genuinely invested in their success.

“There is no shortage of frameworks, methodologies or technology solutions,” he says.

“What leaders value most is authenticity and trust.”

For MethodWerx, the opportunity lies in bridging the gap between strategy and execution - bringing together strategic thinking, technology, delivery and change capability to help organisations move forward with confidence.

“The firms that will thrive in the future are the ones that can bridge the gap between thinking and doing,” Andy says.

“That means providing strategic insight while remaining accountable for delivering real outcomes.”

Why Method?

Andy had known Method Co-Founder & Director Steve professionally for many years and had always respected his reputation, values and approach to building relationships. But joining the business wasn’t a quick decision.

Over three months, Andy spent time getting to know Steve, the owners, leadership team and people across the organisation.

“The more I learned, the more I saw a highly collaborative, values-driven organisation that genuinely cared about its clients and its people,” he says.

What ultimately stood out was the opportunity to help shape the future of the consulting business.

“I had a high level of trust in Steve and confidence in his vision for the business,” Andy says.

“But a major factor in my decision was the autonomy to help shape that journey, rather than simply execute a predefined strategy.”

For Method, Andy’s appointment brings significant experience at a pivotal moment for the business.

A stronger, more connected client offering

MethodWerx will work alongside Method Recruitment to create a broader proposition for clients navigating capability and transformation challenges. While Method Recruitment helps organisations access the specialist talent they need, MethodWerx helps clients define strategy, deliver transformation, improve performance and build capability.

Together, the businesses can support organisations at different points across the transformation lifecycle.

“We can help clients identify where they need to go, support them through the transformation journey and help them access the talent required to sustain success,” Andy says.

“It’s a much broader value proposition than either business could offer independently.”

At their core, both businesses share the same foundations: trusted relationships, deep market knowledge and a commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes.

“MethodWerx doesn’t replace or compete with the recruitment business,” Andy says.

“It strengthens the overall offering by creating another way we can help our clients succeed.”

What great consulting looks like

For Andy, the difference between a good consulting engagement and a truly great one comes down to three things: trust, impact and lasting change.

“A good engagement delivers what’s been promised,” he says.

“A great engagement builds strong relationships, challenges thinking in a positive way and leaves the client better off long after the engagement has ended.”

The best consulting relationships, he believes, are those where the consulting team becomes a trusted partner rather than simply a supplier.

There is a shared commitment to outcomes, open and honest conversations, and a focus on building capability within the client organisation rather than creating dependency.

“Ultimately, a great consulting engagement isn’t measured by the quality of the report or presentation,” Andy says.

“It’s measured by the results achieved, the relationships built and the positive impact that remains after the consultants have left.”

Looking ahead

In two years’ time, Andy hopes MethodWerx will be recognised as a trusted boutique consulting firm that consistently punches above its weight. A business known for helping clients deliver meaningful business and technology transformation, while retaining the culture and relationships that make Method distinctive.

For Andy, however, success won’t simply be measured in revenue or growth.

“It’s about building a strong team, creating long-term client relationships and developing a reputation for being the partner organisations call when they need practical advice and quality delivery,” he says.

He also sees MethodWerx becoming a natural extension of the broader Method business, combining consulting, delivery and talent solutions to create greater value for clients.

“Most importantly,” he says, “I’d want us to have grown without losing the culture, values and personal relationships that make Method special today.”

Outside the office

Away from work, Andy is a husband to Marianne and dad to two daughters, Elena and Hanna — and, by his own admission, “definitely not the Head of anything at home”.

He enjoys travel, reading, running, swimming and mountain biking.

He’s also a Scotland football fan — an experience he describes as “an eternity of nervously watching mediocrity and managing disappointment”.

His favourite leadership book is Leading by Alex Ferguson, while the best career advice he’s ever received is perhaps a little more practical:

“Reread that email tomorrow before you send it.”

And when it comes to the biggest lesson he’s learned throughout his consulting career?

“Clients value honesty more than false certainty,” Andy says.

“If you don’t know something, say so and go find the answer. Credibility comes from being curious, asking good questions and being authentic - not from pretending to know everything.”

It’s a philosophy that feels particularly fitting as MethodWerx begins its next chapter.

Clear thinking. Practical action. Lasting outcomes.

Welcome to MethodWerx.
